I am a former police officer originally from Surrey with a passion for photography and have taken photographs for pretty much as long as I can remember.

After taking an early retirement I did a number of things on a self-employed basis including woodworking, driving, copy-writing and together with my wife Marilyn, we ran a B&B in The Surrey Hills.

A few years ago I decided to spend more time on photography and bought my first Nikon DSLR. I then went off on a course to West Dean College to learn the basics followed by Scotland for a week to practice; fell completely in love with the subject and haven’t looked back since.

Most of my early DSLR stuff was landscape plus architecture and anything else that took my fancy really but in recent years I have become more interested in people photography. This takes the form of candid street photography which I love plus portraiture and model photography. The main difficulty I have at the moment is finding willing subjects to model for me.

Marilyn and I love to travel and you will find many images here recording our various adventures. We have a love of Spain and have lived there on two separate occasions.

My other main spare time activity is writing and at the moment I am about halfway through my third memoir. More details on this can be found in my BLOG section on the tab above
